Overview
While the score was extremely disappointing on Monday, it’s tough to build momentum when the other team’s goalie plays that well. Igor showed Vezina signs as the Wings could only get one past him in 60 minutes. The fourth lines had a ton of good spurts that game, with Jonatan Berggren getting a ton of good looks to notch his first. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him get his first in the next coming games. The bright spot on Monday came from defenseman Justin Holl, who channeled his inner Cale Makar in the first period, assisting captain Dylan Larkin as time expired.
Our parlay missed by only 1 goal, which was devastating, but I’m looking to run that back tonight as Igor won’t be in net for the Rangers. With that loss, our record goes down to 2-3, which isn’t too bad considering we hit 2 solid picks. Much like the Red Wings, we’re hoping for a good bounce-back tonight. The powerplay has looked so strong in our first three games, but they just have to get that puck in the net. With how many powerplays they’ve been given so far, I expect much more from that talented group.

Predictions
Tonight will be a much different story between the two Original Six teams. With Jonathan Quick starting over Igor and Cam Talbot back in net for the Wings, I expect a much different result. Look for Talbot to pick right up from where he left off in his last start and keep the Red Wings in this game. The only sore thumb I've noticed with Lalonde's lineups is Compher on the PP1. He's been a great player for the Red Wings, but it just doesn't seem right having him on there. I believe that is the only piece that is holding back the power play unit from scoring more goals. If they aren't successful tonight, I wouldn't be surprised to see a change in that first unit.
We’re going to run it back again with a similar parlay tonight. It’s not often the Wings are held to only one goal, so I expect to see the number in their column much greater than it was on Monday. I’m leaning towards parlaying the team total and the game over, as this will be Quick’s first start of the season, despite being 4 games in. I will also be riding Berggren to get his first goal of the season these next 3-5 games. He’s had way too many opportunities for it not to hit, so I don’t mind sprinkling some units on it.
